Active Water Management
A central focus at DLC Resources is active water management. Our goal is to supply sufficient water to the plants to keep them healthy, while economizing on the usage. This is accomplished by the following steps:

Probing and Observing - Routine observation of the plants and turf, and probing of the soil by the foreman to determine soil moisture at the root zone.
Proper Programming - Adjust programs on a timely basis based for soil moisture, weather conditions, soil type and topography, specific plant varieties, and other variables.
System Balancing - Equalize the precipitation rates through head spacing, nozzle size and adjustments.
Weekly Reporting - Internal reports submitted weekly by the foreman to DLC managers and owners indicating cycle and run times to turf and drip systems. Additional unintended events are also recorded (mainline breaks, stuck valves, vandalism, etc.).
Charting Actual Usage - Graphing monthly usage by individual meter and comparing the previous year's usage. Additionally an accumulative graph of all meters is supplied. Graphs are supplied for both gallons used and dollars paid along with accumulated rainfall amounts. Expenditures are reviewed versus budgets.
