Asset Management

Managing hundreds of assets at a large master planned community is challenging. We like to say "What gets measured gets managed". Asset mapping is a powerful measuring tool that informs the Association of exactly what is in the community. After mapping community property such as trees, water meters, culverts and irrigation controllers, DLC Resources Inc. creates a database noting the unique GPS location, physical condition and other characteristics important to the asset.

Asset maps can be used in a variety of different ways. Water meters and irrigation controllers can be mapped and plotted to show what area each item serves in the community. This map is increasingly important as water restrictions limit water use. Asset mapping is also used to manage unique Association assets like benches, common area walls, doggie stations, garbage cans, specialty lighting and playground equipment. Once the assets in a community are located and measured, they can be better managed.
