Description
Property Superintendents manage people and equipment resources to perform regular contracted maintenance and improvement activities on selected master-planned communities. Key responsibilities include superior communication to clients, quality control, water management and following established reporting/paperwork procedures. The superintendent will manage from one to three properties working closely with the site foreman, spray and irrigation techs, improvement crews, etc. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person who has an adequate level of experience, knowledge and can focus on delivering exceptional service.
Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Must have strong communication, time management and interpersonal skills
- Candidates must have 3 years plus experience in landscape maintenance supervision
- Must be safety oriented at all times
- Knowledge of turf, tree, and shrub management
- Knowledge of herbicides and weed control procedures
- Experience with irrigation systems and troubleshooting
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, e-mail)
- Good motor vehicle record
- Credentials such as Certified Landscape Professional, Certified Spray Tech, Certified Arborist or Certified Irrigation Auditor are helpful
- Ability to converse in Spanish is a plus
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to work under extreme and often adverse climatic conditions
